The Student Athletes Need Your Help!!

The Student Athletes Need Your Help!!

Did you know that the Wake Co School System only supplies its sports teams with approximately 30% of the funds needed for the teams to operate for their season? Where does the rest of the money come from? Much of it comes from the parents, the coaches, and at Garner Magnet High, the Trojan Club is there to support the teams with this additional funding.

The great need for GMHS' student athletes at this time is a new weight room. The current equipment is estimated to be 30+ years old! Most of it is outdated, much of it is broken and potentially unsafe for our students. Take a quick tour of the state the Weight Room now: https://tinyurl.com/GarnerWeightRoom

Without the proper equipment, our children are not able to train and prepare to be the most competitive in their chosen sports. Trojan athletes have a proud tradition of being able to compete at a high level and this upgrade will go a long way in keeping this tradition strong. Because of this we have created a fundraising campaign to raise money for new equipment. The Trojan club has been very diligent in getting the very best pricing for this equipment, however the total cost still will be approximately $30,000.

We are asking those who support our student athletes to give what you can and if your company has a charity matching program, we would love to take advantage of that as well. The Trojans Boosters Club is a non-profit organization and all monies donated will be tax deductible!

For those who donate $1000 or more, your personal or company name will be proudly displayed on a plaque in the weight room for years to come! #TrojanPride
